Privacy Policy
Version 2 – Effective 7/13/2026
-
You Got Listings, Inc. ("YGL," "we," "us," or "our") operates the You Got Listings platform and related websites, applications, tools, and services. This Privacy Policy explains how YGL collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects Personal Information in connection with the Services.
This Privacy Policy is available at https://www.yougotlistings.com/privacy-policy. YGL's Terms of Service are available at https://www.yougotlistings.com/terms. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
This Privacy Policy governs YGL's handling of Personal Information. If a feature-specific consent, authorization, disclosure, payment term, SMS term, notice at collection, or other specific notice applies to a particular transaction or feature, the more specific notice controls with respect to that processing. The Terms of Service continue to govern contractual rights, obligations, licenses, disclaimers, limitations, and remedies.
Acknowledgment of this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Service does not replace any separate consent, authorization, certification, disclosure, or notice required by applicable law, a consumer-reporting agency, another provider, or a feature-specific workflow.
- 1. Scope and Individuals Covered
-
This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information YGL processes through the Services, including:
- YouGotListings.com, YGL.is, affiliated domains and subdomains, and YGL-hosted websites;
- the YGL platform, applications, account dashboards, APIs, websites, widgets, forms, and communication tools;
- listing, lead, application, document, electronic-signature, payment, credit-reporting, showing, property-access, and related workflows; and
- customer support, billing, security, compliance, marketing, and other business interactions with YGL.
1.1 Individuals Covered
This Privacy Policy may apply to Personal Information about:
- Account Users, including Admin Users, Manager Users, Agent Users, employees, contractors, assistants, and other individuals who access an Account;
- Limited Individual Users, including tenants, prospective tenants, applicants, guarantors, occupants, leads, showing participants, document recipients, payment participants, and other individuals using transaction-specific features;
- landlords, property owners, property managers, brokers, agents, listing providers, listing recipients, and their representatives;
- visitors to YGL websites and YGL-powered public websites or widgets;
- business contacts, vendor contacts, support contacts, and other individuals who communicate or transact with YGL; and
- other individuals whose Personal Information is submitted to or made available through the Services by an authorized user, customer, integration, provider, or public source.
1.2 Services and Information Not Controlled by YGL
This Privacy Policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of third parties that YGL does not control, such as consumer-reporting agencies, payment processors, electronic-signature providers, MLSs, listing portals, customer-operated websites, telecommunications providers, or other third-party products and services. Those parties may process information under their own privacy notices and terms. YGL's transmission of information to or from a third party does not make YGL responsible for that third party's independent privacy practices.
- 2. Definitions and YGL's Privacy Roles
-
"Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked to an individual or household, as defined by applicable law. Personal Information does not include information that applicable law treats as public, lawfully made available, aggregated, or de-identified.
2.1 YGL's Role Depends on the Processing Activity
YGL's privacy role is context-specific. YGL may act in different capacities for different information within the same rental-related workflow:
- Customer-directed processing. When YGL processes customer-controlled Personal Information solely under an Account's documented instructions, and applicable law treats YGL as a processor, service provider, contractor, or similar party for that processing, YGL acts in that capacity. The Account, acting through its current Admin User and other Account Users authorized through the Services, generally determines the business purpose of the workflow, the information submitted, and the persons granted access, subject to the Services, applicable law, provider requirements, and YGL's independent legal obligations.
- YGL-controlled processing. YGL acts as a business, controller, or independent responsible party when YGL determines the purposes and means of processing, including for account administration, billing, direct purchases from YGL, taxes, customer support, product operation, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, communications, service analytics, recordkeeping, enforcement, and YGL's own business operations. When identifiable customer-controlled information is involved, YGL limits independent use to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes, as separately authorized, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
- Direct individual-facing services. When a Limited Individual User purchases or directly uses an optional YGL service, YGL may independently control the Personal Information needed to describe, provide, bill for, support, refund, secure, document, and administer that service. The applicable Account may separately control application, rental, or transaction information used in connection with the same workflow.
- Third-party-controlled processing. Consumer-reporting agencies, payment processors, electronic-signature providers, MLSs, listing portals, and other third parties may independently control certain information they receive or generate under their own legal obligations, terms, and privacy notices.
For broader product development, market analysis, reporting, usage insights, and similar business analysis not necessary to operate a particular identifiable workflow, YGL generally uses aggregated or de-identified information as described in Section 9, unless identifiable use is separately disclosed, authorized, or permitted by applicable law.
YGL is a technology platform and does not act as a real estate broker, landlord, property manager, fiduciary, rental decision-maker, or representative merely because it processes information through the Services. Privacy terminology describing YGL as acting "on behalf of" an Account does not create a brokerage, agency, fiduciary, or representation relationship.
2.2 Account Administration and Authorized Access
Information submitted to an Account may be accessible to the Account's Admin User, Manager Users, other authorized Account Users, connected accounts, and recipients selected through account permissions, settings, instructions, or feature use. For account-level administration, access, instructions, exports, and requests involving customer-controlled information, YGL may rely on the current Admin User designation and the permissions shown in the Services, subject to applicable law.
YGL is not required to determine or adjudicate ownership, employment, corporate, brokerage, agency, contractual, or other rights outside the Services when administering an Account. Individuals using an employer, brokerage, landlord, property-management, or other organization's Account should understand that the current Admin User and other authorized Account Users may control and access information associated with that Account. Nothing in this Privacy Policy changes the account-control provisions of the Terms of Service.
- 3. Personal Information We Collect
-
The Personal Information YGL collects depends on the Services used, the applicable workflow, account settings, the individual's role, and the information provided by users, customers, providers, integrations, and public sources. - Authentication events, fraud indicators, security alerts, audit logs, support diagnostics, system errors, and information used to protect the Services.
3.9 Information Submitted for Data Entry, Import, Integration, or Support
- Emails, listing sheets, documents, spreadsheets, website information, portal information, feeds, files, and other materials an Account authorizes YGL to access, enter, import, update, parse, process, or manage, including credentials or access information only when expressly authorized by the Account, reasonably necessary for the requested service, permitted by the applicable source, and provided through a method approved by YGL.
- Structured information YGL creates from those materials at the Account's direction, together with support tickets, troubleshooting records, and account-configuration information.
Users should not transmit passwords, authentication codes, private keys, or other access credentials to YGL unless YGL specifically requests the information through an approved method. YGL may decline to accept, store, or use credentials or access information.
3.10 Sensitive Information
Some workflows may involve information considered sensitive under applicable law, including Social Security numbers, government identifiers, account credentials, financial information, consumer reports, precise property-access information, and information submitted in an application. YGL processes sensitive information only as reasonably necessary to provide requested Services, complete or administer a transaction, comply with law and provider requirements, protect security, prevent fraud, maintain records, or for another purpose permitted by applicable law.
Where YGL independently controls sensitive-information processing and applicable law requires consent or another specific authorization, YGL will request the required consent or authorization through an applicable form, transaction screen, feature-specific notice, or other appropriate mechanism. For customer-directed processing, the applicable Account is responsible for obtaining required notices, consents, authorizations, and legal bases, although YGL may provide tools or standard workflow language to facilitate that process.
YGL does not use sensitive Personal Information to infer characteristics about an individual for unrelated advertising or profiling. YGL also does not use consumer reports, screening information, Social Security numbers, government identification information, or precise property-access information for external market reports or unrelated commercial profiling.
- 4. Sources of Personal Information
-
YGL may collect Personal Information from the following sources:
- Directly from the individual, including through account registration, forms, applications, payments, consents, communications, documents, showing requests, and support interactions;
- From Admin Users, Account Users, landlords, property owners, property managers, brokers, agents, employers, contractors, listing providers, connected accounts, applicants, guarantors, occupants, and other authorized participants;
- From consumer-reporting agencies, background-check providers, eviction-reporting providers, payment processors, electronic-signature providers, messaging providers, MLSs, listing feeds, syndication partners, integrations, and other service providers;
- From public websites, public feeds, public records, publicly available listing sources, and other lawful public sources;
- Automatically from devices, browsers, cookies, logs, APIs, and use of the Services; and
- From affiliates, professional advisers, government authorities, fraud-prevention resources, or other sources as permitted or required by law.
- 5. How We Use Personal Information
-
YGL may use Personal Information for the following purposes, as applicable:
- Provide and operate the Services. Create and administer Accounts; host, store, organize, process, transmit, display, publish, syndicate, and share information; provide listing, lead, application, document, payment, showing, website, widget, API, communication, and support functionality.
- Follow Account instructions and settings. Make information available to Account Users, connected accounts, listing recipients, applicants, tenants, guarantors, occupants, providers, and other recipients selected through permissions, settings, feature selections, or instructions.
- Process application, document, and signature workflows. Collect authorizations, transmit requests to providers, receive or display results, support document completion and signing, maintain transaction records, and operate related workflows.
- Provide direct and optional individual-facing services. Describe, sell, provide, document, support, refund, restrict, or administer YGL’s optional form-filling, document-processing, and electronic-signature services, and make available or facilitate credit-related, background-check-related, and other provider-supported services.
- Process payments, taxes, refunds, and disputes. Authorize and record transactions; calculate or collect applicable taxes; issue receipts; manage credits, refunds, reversals, chargebacks, collection activity, and fraud review; and maintain accounting records.
- Communicate. Send operational, transactional, billing, security, legal, support, application, document, showing, property-access, and account communications. YGL may also send marketing or product communications to Account Users as permitted by law.
- Operate showing and property-access tools. Coordinate requests and approvals, send notices and reminders, store instructions, maintain records, and support authorized scheduling and access workflows.
- Provide data-entry, import, and integration services. Access, retrieve, parse, organize, format, enter, update, import, synchronize, and manage information at an Account's direction.
- Secure and protect the Services. Authenticate users; detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, scraping, credential misuse, security incidents, unlawful activity, and violations of YGL terms or provider requirements.
- Provide support and improve operations. Troubleshoot and respond to requests; test and validate features and workflows; monitor performance; maintain business continuity; correct errors; and improve the reliability, security, functionality, and usability of the Services. YGL limits its use of identifiable customer-controlled information for these purposes to what is reasonably necessary to provide, operate, maintain, secure, support, test, validate, or troubleshoot the applicable Services or workflow; follow Account instructions; comply with applicable law or provider requirements; or as separately authorized. YGL uses User Data for broader reporting, analytics, usage insights, product-improvement analysis, service-improvement analysis, operational analysis, market analysis, and other internal business analysis in aggregated or de-identified form as described in Section 9, subject to applicable law, provider requirements, source restrictions, and applicable authorizations.
- Comply with law and enforce rights. Meet legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, audit, insurance, recordkeeping, litigation, consumer-reporting, privacy, security, and provider obligations; respond to lawful requests; resolve disputes; and enforce agreements.
- Create aggregated or de-identified information. Generate reports, statistics, usage insights, product analyses, operational analyses, and other information that does not identify an individual, Account, customer, property, applicant, or transaction, subject to Section 9.
- Conduct corporate and business operations. Administer vendors, professional advisers, insurance, financing, corporate transactions, risk management, and other legitimate business functions.
5.1 Consumer Reports
YGL processes consumer reports only as permitted by applicable consumer-reporting laws, provider requirements, applicant authorizations, permissible-purpose certifications, and feature-specific terms. YGL does not make rental eligibility decisions. Account Users and applicable housing providers are responsible for their use of reports, rental decisions, adverse-action obligations, and compliance with fair-housing, consumer-reporting, and other applicable laws. A consumer-reporting agency may independently control the report it generates and may provide separate dispute procedures and privacy notices.
5.2 No Solely Automated Rental Decisions by YGL
YGL does not use Personal Information to make solely automated decisions approving or denying an individual for housing. The Services may transmit, organize, display, or facilitate reports, scores, statuses, or information generated by users or third-party providers, but rental and screening decisions are made by the applicable Account User, landlord, property manager, broker, or other authorized decision-maker.
- 6. How We Disclose Personal Information
-
YGL may disclose Personal Information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
- Account administrators and authorized users. Admin Users, Manager Users, Agent Users, employees, contractors, connected accounts, and other authorized recipients may access information according to account permissions, settings, instructions, and feature use.
- Rental-workflow participants. Landlords, property owners, property managers, brokers, agents, applicants, tenants, guarantors, occupants, listing providers, listing recipients, and other participants may receive information when a user directs, authorizes, or enables that disclosure through the Services.
- Technology and operational service providers. Hosting, cloud, database, security, fraud-prevention, customer-support, analytics, document-storage, software, communications, and other vendors may process information to provide services to YGL.
- Consumer-reporting and verification providers. Credit bureaus, background-check providers, eviction-reporting providers, and related compliance vendors may receive information needed to provide requested consumer reports or screening services.
- Payment and financial service providers. Payment processors, banks, tax providers, accounting systems, fraud-prevention providers, and collection vendors may process information relating to payments, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, and transaction administration.
- Electronic-signature, document, email, and messaging providers. Providers may process documents, contact information, signatures, audit records, message content, delivery information, and consent records needed to provide requested functionality.
- MLSs, listing sources, syndication partners, public websites, widgets, and listing recipients. Property and contact information may be transmitted, displayed, or published according to Account configuration, source requirements, and user instructions.
- Professional advisers and insurers. Attorneys, accountants, auditors, consultants, insurers, and other advisers may receive information reasonably necessary to provide professional services, manage risk, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
- Government authorities and legal recipients. YGL may disclose information in response to subpoenas, court orders, lawful government requests, regulatory inquiries, legal process, emergencies, threats to safety, suspected fraud, or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
- Corporate transaction participants. YGL may disclose information to prospective or actual purchasers, investors, lenders, advisers, affiliates, successors, or other parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, change of control, sale of assets, or transfer of all or part of the Services or business.
- Other recipients at the individual's or Account's direction. YGL may disclose information when an individual, Admin User, Account User, or other authorized party requests, consents to, or enables the disclosure.
6.1 No Sale or Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising
YGL does not sell Personal Information or share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable privacy law. YGL does not use Personal Information for targeted advertising based on an individual’s activity across unrelated businesses, websites, applications, or services.
Disclosures made at an individual’s or Account’s direction, through public-display, listing-sharing, connected-account, website, widget, syndication, integration, or other Service features, or to service providers, transaction providers, listing recipients, and other recipients described in this Privacy Policy, are not intended to constitute a sale or sharing of Personal Information where those disclosures are not treated as a sale or sharing under applicable law.
YGL may use or disclose aggregated or de-identified information that is not reasonably capable of identifying an individual, Account, customer, property, applicant, or transaction, as described in Section 9.6.2 Mobile Information and SMS Data
Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent records will not be sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. YGL may disclose this information to telecommunications providers, messaging platforms, carriers, compliance vendors, and other service providers as necessary to deliver, secure, support, document, or administer SMS communications, provided the information is not used for the provider's own marketing or promotional purposes.
- 7. Public, Syndicated, and User-Directed Disclosures
-
Certain Services allow users to publish listings, syndicate property information, operate public websites or widgets, share information with connected accounts or listing recipients, or direct information to third-party portals and providers. Information selected for public display or distribution may become available to the public, search engines, other users, listing portals, and third parties.
Publicly displayed or distributed information may be copied, cached, indexed, retained, republished, or redistributed by third parties outside YGL's control. Removing or changing information within YGL may not immediately remove copies maintained by search engines, syndication partners, listing portals, recipients, backups, archives, or other third parties. Users are responsible for selecting the information they make public or direct YGL to distribute and for ensuring they have the necessary authority to do so.
- 8. Communications and Choices
-
8.1 Operational and Transactional Communications
YGL may send operational, transactional, account, billing, security, legal, support, listing, lead, application, document, showing, property-access, and other Service-related communications. These communications are part of the Services and may continue even if an individual opts out of marketing messages, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
8.2 Marketing Communications
YGL may send Account Users product updates, feature announcements, newsletters, surveys, educational materials, demo invitations, or other marketing communications as permitted by law. Recipients may unsubscribe using the instructions in the message or another method YGL makes available. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop operational or transactional communications.
8.3 SMS Communications
An Account User may enter or provide a mobile telephone number through the Services. YGL will not send SMS messages to a tenant, applicant, guarantor, occupant, or other Limited Individual User merely because an Account User entered that number. SMS messages are sent only after the recipient affirmatively enables SMS communications through a YGL form, website, confirmation page, account page, or other YGL opt-in mechanism.
SMS communications may relate to showings, scheduling, applications, documents, transactions, accounts, property access, or other Service-related activity. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. SMS delivery is not guaranteed. A recipient may reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance. Opting out of SMS does not necessarily stop email, in-platform, security, billing, legal, support, or other Service-related communications.
- 9. Analytics, Aggregated Information, and De-Identification
-
YGL may use Personal Information and other data to create aggregated or de-identified reports, statistics, usage insights, operational analyses, product analyses, and other business information. Identifiable information may be used as reasonably necessary to create, validate, secure, and maintain the aggregated or de-identified output, but YGL will use reasonable measures designed to prevent the output from being attributed to an individual, Account, customer, property, applicant, or transaction.
YGL may combine information from the Services with public, licensed, or third-party data where permitted. YGL will maintain information represented as de-identified in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it, except through controlled testing designed to evaluate or improve de-identification safeguards or as required by law.
Consumer reports, credit reports, background checks, eviction reports, criminal-history information, Social Security numbers, government identification information, precise property-access information, and other sensitive application or screening information are not used to create external market reports or informational products, except in aggregated or de-identified form and only where permitted by applicable law, provider requirements, source restrictions, and applicable authorizations.
Aggregated or de-identified information may be used, retained, disclosed, or published for lawful operational, analytical, reporting, and business purposes, subject to applicable law and source requirements, but not in a manner reasonably capable of identifying an individual, Account, customer, property, applicant, or transaction.
This Privacy Policy does not determine ownership of listings, User Data, YGL Data, MLS Data, databases, analytics, intellectual property, or other materials. Ownership, license rights, and use restrictions are governed by the Terms of Service, applicable provider terms, MLS rules, source requirements, and applicable law.
- 10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
-
YGL and its service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the Services, maintain sessions, authenticate users, remember preferences, prevent fraud, troubleshoot performance, provide customer support, deliver content, and understand how the Services are used. YGL does not use cookies to sell Personal Information or conduct cross-context behavioral advertising.
YGL and service providers acting on YGL’s behalf may process device, usage, and interaction information when an individual uses the Services. YGL uses such providers for operational purposes such as hosting, security, fraud prevention, analytics, customer support, communications, content delivery, and embedded functionality. YGL does not authorize those providers to use Personal Information collected through YGL for their own independent purposes, including their own advertising, profiling, cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising.
Browser settings may allow users to block or delete cookies, but doing so may interfere with login, security, preferences, or other functionality. YGL may also make additional cookie controls available through a website notice or preference tool.
Some browsers and devices provide "Do Not Track," Global Privacy Control, or similar signals. Where legally required and technically applicable, YGL will process recognized opt-out preference signals. Because YGL does not sell Personal Information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, such signals may not change YGL's current practices.
- 11. Data Retention and Disposal
-
YGL retains Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, follow Account instructions, maintain business and transaction records, comply with law and provider requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect security, enforce agreements, support backups and disaster recovery, and conduct legitimate business operations. YGL may maintain internal retention schedules or apply feature-specific retention periods or criteria.
Retention periods vary based on factors including:
- the type, sensitivity, and volume of information;
- the applicable Account, feature, transaction, instruction, authorization, or provider requirement;
- the duration of the business, customer, rental, applicant, tenant, or transaction relationship;
- legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, audit, insurance, consumer-reporting, recordkeeping, and contractual requirements;
- fraud-prevention, security, support, backup, litigation, dispute-resolution, and enforcement needs; and
- whether the information can be aggregated or de-identified.
Without limiting the foregoing, YGL generally applies category-specific retention criteria. Account, profile, and subscription information may be retained for the Account relationship and a reasonable period afterward for administration, security, enforcement, and legal obligations. Billing, tax, payment, refund, chargeback, and transaction records may be retained for applicable accounting, tax, audit, dispute, and legal periods. Application, document, signature, consent, authorization, and consumer-report records may be retained according to the applicable workflow, Account instructions, provider requirements, authorizations, legal obligations, security needs, and recordkeeping requirements. Communications, support records, listings, leads, showing information, property-access information, and technical or security logs may be retained while operationally relevant and afterward as reasonably necessary for support, security, dispute resolution, enforcement, or legal compliance.
These criteria may vary by Account, feature, provider, jurisdiction, and legal or operational need. YGL does not promise that Personal Information will be deleted immediately when an application, showing, transaction, tenancy, Account relationship, or other workflow ends.
Deletion from active systems may not immediately delete information from backups, archives, logs, cached systems, audit records, disaster-recovery systems, third-party provider systems, or other retained records. YGL may retain information in those systems until it is overwritten, deleted under normal retention cycles, or no longer reasonably necessary. YGL may retain aggregated or de-identified information as permitted by law. When information is disposed of, YGL uses methods reasonably designed to protect it, consistent with applicable law and provider requirements.
- 12. Data Security and Incident Response
-
YGL uses reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information against unauthorized access, acquisition, use, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction. The safeguards used may vary based on the nature and sensitivity of the information, the applicable Service, system, or provider, the manner in which the information is processed, and the risks reasonably associated with the processing. These safeguards may include measures designed to manage access, protect accounts and systems, maintain the availability and integrity of information, oversee relevant service providers, preserve appropriate records, and identify and respond to suspected security incidents.
No security measure, system, network, internet transmission, storage environment, or service provider can be guaranteed to be completely secure. YGL does not warrant that unauthorized access, acquisition, use, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction will never occur. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials, using appropriate security measures for their devices and systems, limiting Account access to authorized persons, configuring available permissions appropriately, and promptly notifying YGL of suspected unauthorized access, credential compromise, or misuse.
YGL may investigate suspected security incidents and take actions it determines reasonably appropriate to contain, mitigate, remediate, document, or respond to an incident. If YGL determines that a security incident requires notice under applicable law, YGL will provide notice to affected individuals, Accounts, regulators, or other parties as required by applicable law. When YGL processes information for an Account, YGL may provide relevant incident information to the current Admin User or another authorized Account contact so that the Account can evaluate and satisfy its own obligations. - 13. Privacy Rights and Requests
-
Depending on the individual's location, role, relationship with YGL, and applicable law, an individual may have rights concerning Personal Information, such as the right to request access, confirmation, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or information about collection and disclosure; to opt out of certain processing; to limit certain uses of sensitive information; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; to appeal a denied request; and to receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.
13.1 Account and Communication Choices
- Account Users may update certain profile, contact, billing, and preference information through the Services.
- Marketing recipients may unsubscribe using the instructions in the message.
- SMS recipients may reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance.
- Browser and device settings may provide cookie or privacy controls, subject to the limitations described in Section 10.
13.2 Submitting a Privacy Request
Privacy requests may be submitted by emailing legal@yougotlistings.com, calling (617) 418-4598, writing to the address in Section 18.2, or using any online privacy-request form YGL makes available through its Privacy Policy webpage. A request should describe the right being exercised and provide enough information for YGL to identify the relevant person, Account, transaction, property, broker, landlord, or workflow.
If applicable law requires YGL to provide a toll-free number, a dedicated webform, or another specific request channel, YGL will make that method available through this Privacy Policy, a jurisdiction-specific notice, or an applicable request page.
YGL may verify identity and authority before completing a request. Verification may require matching information already maintained by YGL, confirming access to an email address or Account, requesting additional information, or obtaining proof that an authorized agent may act for the individual. YGL will use verification information only for verification, security, fraud prevention, and compliance.
YGL may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, including when YGL cannot verify identity or authority, does not control the information, must retain information for legal or security reasons, needs the information to complete a transaction, or an exception applies. YGL will respond within the period required by applicable law and will provide an appeal method where applicable law requires one.
13.3 Requests Involving Account-Controlled Information
When YGL processes Personal Information as a service provider or processor for an Account, the Account may be responsible for responding to the request. YGL may direct the individual to the applicable Account, acting through its current Admin User or another authorized Account contact, and may assist as required by law or a separate processing agreement. YGL may still respond directly regarding information YGL independently controls, such as YGL billing, direct-purchase, security, support, legal, and account-administration records.
YGL may rely on the current Admin User designation and Account permissions when determining who may provide Account-level instructions, subject to applicable law. YGL is not required to resolve external ownership, employment, brokerage, agency, or contractual disputes as part of a privacy request.
13.4 Consumer-Report Questions and Disputes
A consumer-reporting agency may independently maintain the underlying report and administer disputes. Individuals should follow the dispute and contact instructions provided with the report or adverse-action notice. YGL may assist with routing or identifying the applicable provider where appropriate, but YGL may not be able to modify information maintained by an independent consumer-reporting agency.
13.5 Appeals
Where applicable law provides a right to appeal, an individual may appeal YGL's decision by replying to YGL's response or emailing legal@yougotlistings.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." The appeal should identify the original request and explain why the individual believes the decision should be reconsidered. YGL will respond within the period required by applicable law.
If an appeal is denied, YGL will provide information about any applicable method for contacting the relevant state attorney general, privacy regulator, or other authority when required by law.

Depending on an individual’s state of residence and to the extent YGL and the relevant processing are subject to an applicable state privacy law, the individual may have rights concerning Personal Information, which may include rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of Personal Information; opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; appeal a decision concerning a request; and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising an applicable privacy right.
The availability and scope of these rights depend on the applicable law, the nature of the information, YGL’s role in processing it, and any applicable exceptions. Requests and appeals may be submitted as described in Sections 13.2 and 13.5. - 15. Children and Information About Minors
-
Account Users must be at least 18 years old. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and YGL does not knowingly permit a child under 13 to independently create an Account or directly use a child-directed service without legally required parental consent.
Rental applications, leases, occupant records, household information, and other Account-controlled documents may include information about minor occupants or dependents submitted by a parent, guardian, landlord, property manager, broker, or other authorized adult. YGL processes that information only as part of the applicable adult-directed rental or Account workflow. A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 submitted Personal Information directly to YGL without authorization may contact YGL using Section 18.2.
- 16. U.S.-Based Services and International Access
-
YGL is based in the United States, and the Services are intended primarily for rental-related and business activities in the United States. Personal Information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and other locations where YGL or its service providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws where an individual resides.
Accessing the Services from outside the United States does not, by itself, mean that YGL offers the Services under or voluntarily assumes every foreign privacy regime. Where a non-waivable law applies to YGL's processing, YGL will use legally required measures or appropriate safeguards to the extent required by that law. Additional international terms or notices may apply if YGL expressly offers a Service in a jurisdiction that requires them.
- 17. Changes to This Privacy Policy and Contact Information
-
17.1 Changes to This Privacy Policy
YGL may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date. When required by law or when YGL determines that a change is material, YGL may provide additional notice through email, the Services, an Account notice, a website notice, a transaction screen, or another appropriate method.
YGL will not apply a materially different use or disclosure practice to previously collected Personal Information without providing additional notice and obtaining consent where required by applicable law. YGL reviews this Privacy Policy periodically and updates it as reasonably necessary to reflect material changes in practices, law, or the Services.
