Craigslist Throttling Became Worse Today + Craigslist Watch Page
August 17th, 2009Our friends at PennyPosting.com has informed us that Craigslist has changed it’s throttling formula mid-day today. It became much harder and slower to post your ads. You will consistently get the “posting servers are currently busy” message over and over. For more information, visit Craigslist Watch.
We are officially starting a “Craigslist Watch” page to help you stay on top of what Craigslist is changing, so you can change your marketing strategy to adapt to these changes.
Post Your Ad to Any Craigslist Fee Section.
August 17th, 2009Craigslist has 4 fee sections you can post to:
- apts broker fee
- apts broker no fee
- apts by owner
- apts registration fee
Originally the YGL system does not allow you to choose which fee section to post to. Based on what the listing fee is, YGL will automatically choose the Craigslist fee section to post to.
We added a new Craigslist Fee dropdown field for you to select which Craigslist fee section to post to. Now you have full control of which Craigslist fee section to post your ads in. If you choose “default”, YGL will decide which fee section to post to like before.
Please keep in mind that you might violate Craigslist terms of service if you post to the inappropriate sections.
Grid Tables Upgrade Completed!
August 16th, 2009We’d like to let everyone know that all the grid tables have been successfully upgraded in our system. You’ll notice that the old sorting links have disappeared from all the pages with some other minor UI changes. If you are having any difficulties with the upgrades, please click the “refresh” button on your browser which will clear out the old cache.
The new grid tables offer us the following important benefits:
1. Sortable column headers. All the old sort links have been removed, and the columns headers are now sortable and should be used instead.
2. Better browser compatible. We will soon support all major browsers.
3. More legible.
4. Much more flexible, powerful and documented. This will allow us to build more user friendly features down the road.
5. Flexible width.
Please give us your feedback on the new grid tables. Thanks!
